Plan Your Visit

You are here

Visiting a church can be a little scary. We get that. There are many questions you want answered even before you come. That’s why we’ve tried to answer some of your most frequently asked questions below.

What are your Sunday worship gatherings (church services) like?

We love people. When you arrive, you’ll most likely be greeted as you enter our worship space. Community is a big deal for us so you may meet others again at a greeting time during our worship gathering. We’ll do our best to help you feel at home without invading your personal space.

Our worship experiences last about 1.5 hours. You can expect to hear some live music and a relevant teaching from the Bible. No offering will be taken. Instead, we provide a giving box on the resource table in the lobby for those who call Valley View their church community. Please feel no obligation to give.

Our Sunday worship gatherings happen at 10:30 a.m. Our Valley Kids children’s ministry meets during the gathering (Infants - 5th grade). Your kids will experience exciting energetic worship, engaging Bible teaching, circle discussions, creative hands-on experiences, games, crafts, and prayer. Valley Kids introduces your children to the God who created them, knows them, and loves them.

How does Valley Kids work?

Valley Kids provides an excellent program for infants through 5th grade during the 10:30 a.m. gathering. Valley Mids (6th-8th) and Element (9th-12th) are dismissed after worshiping with the adults. All the kids’ rooms are labeled with ages or grades so you know right where to go. Also, anyone with a name tag or a Valley Kids shirt can help point you in the right direction.

Safety is our first concern. A group of dedicated, fun-loving, and background-checked volunteers provide a completely safe, age-appropriate environment for your children to learn and experience the love of Jesus. You can drop your kids off in the Kids Check-In Room as soon as you enter the building. We'll register them with our Child Check-In software. Your child will get a sticker name tag and you'll receive a corresponding sticker/ticket which you'll need to pick up your child in their room at the end of the gathering.

Once they are dropped off we have a great team ready to lead your kids in age specific high-energy worship. After learning about that month's theme through a skit and teaching, the kids will break into their classrooms by grade/age for small group interactive time.

We have a specific room for infants and toddlers, filled with volunteers who love to hold babies and play with kids. They’ll make sure your child has a great time while you’re in the worship gathering. You can drop your infants and toddlers off as soon as you enter the building or at anytime during the worship gathering if they get a bit fussy.

Your children are going to LOVE Valley Kids!

What should I wear?

The Bible says that people look at our outward appearance, but God looks at our heart. We believe that’s true. Most people come dressed casually.

After my visit to Valley View … what do I do next?

After you visit Valley View we’d love you to come back again and bring a friend.

If you’d like someone to get in touch with you please fill out a Connection Card on the resource table and put it in the giving box located in the lobby. If you’d like to know more about following Jesus we’d love to help you. That’s why we’re here! Your next step may be to talk with someone on our staff or in our church community. Just let us know.

Free copies of the Bible are available on the resource table. We love to give them away!
